Real Estate Quesnel
It has been a while since sales out numbered the listings, but this week that is just what happened. There were 5 new listings (including one re-list) and 7 sales! The week also brought along 4 price reductions. Nice to see things still moving along despite the season.

Real Estate News in Quesnel
Quesnel’s real estate market continued to move as winter took hold. There were 8 new listings, but to be fair 2 were re-lists from earlier in the year. They are back at reduced prices. 2 price drops and 3 sales rounded out the stats for the third week in November. In other real estate news, the Barkerville Brewing Company is making great progress on their new building and is now waiting for the interior work to be completed and final liquor licencing. A lot of activity in the commercial sector of Quesnel and that has to be good.

Lions Club moving forward with Senior’s Housing Project
The club purchased a great lot in North Quesnel and is now moving forward with the building planning phase. They will have a lot of discussions with the City, as they are hoping to vary from the zoning bylaws to house more units than the current law allows. They are planning on having something built in the next two years. So positive to see some new low income housing for seniors !

Real Estate Market in Quesnel
As we slip into the winter season, there were still some (7) new listings coming on the market. With inventory levels low, some sellers are looking for the extra exposure that happens when there is little competition. There were 4 listings that saw price drops and 3 sales rounded out the week.

The City of Quesnel is considering a policy change that will permit secondary suites in all single detached dwellings. Three of the four public consultations planned have now been held to obtain public input and give the public the opportunity to ask questions and give feedback. The remaining meeting is as follows:
Nov 14 7 p.m. Recreation Centre Multi-purpose Room, 501 North Star Road
If you have any comments, questions or concerns, e-mail email@example.com or call 250-992-2111 and ask for Tanya Turner, Manager of Development Services.

Real Estate Activity in Quesnel
There were signs that winter is nearing this week as things slowed somewhat. Despite the weather, 9 new listings arrived on the MLS® system. The price reductions continued briskly with 10 properties all dropping their asking prices. The sales department had an easy week with only one sale reported. We are still seeing some buyers out there looking at houses, but not at nearly the frequency of summer. The gentle fall weather helped in October, but expect November will slow things to a crawl.
